Arethusa class cruiser

The Arethusa class was a smaller version of the earlier Leander class cruiser(see post).But because of their smaller size they were armed with 6 6inch guns rather than eight mounted on the previous class.
They all saw action in WWII,two of the class of four being sunk and the other two severely damaged.One of the ships was turned over to the Chinese Nationalist navy after the war but was soon captured by Chinese Communists.During her service with Communist China she was renamed three times,twice in a single year,before being scrapped in 1958.
