Churchill infantry Tank

The British built Churchill infantry tank was probably the most famous British tank of WWII.The Churchill was built to replace the old Matilda and Valentine infantry tank's which were obsolete.
However in early actions,notably the Dieppe raid,it's performance was poor and it's production was almost suspended in of lighter tanks with bigger guns.But it was saved by a better version with a bigger gun. This new version of the Churchill and all the versions after it were very successful in the war.They were sent too many major allied countries(not America)and even Ireland got it's hands on a few.They served until the end of WWII but were replaced by the even more famous Centurion soon after.
