Iosif Stalin heavy tanks

The Stalin tank series was designed to replace the old and obsolete KV series.The IS-1 entered  production in the winter of 1943-44(i think)but was soon replaced by the IS-2 which could finally match the notorious German tiger tank.The IS-2 served for the rest of the war and for some time but by the end of the war the IS-3 had entered production with an improved turret and armour designs.The IS-3 was used with many countries for many years but can now be found only in museums and there were several other designs that never made it into production.







The IS-2,IS-3 and IS-7 tanks,the IS-7 never entered production.
